The Senator, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District and the Chairman, Senate Committee on Marine Transport, Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun attended the University of Lagos School of Post Graduate Studies (SPGS) annual Convocation Dinner on 25th January, 2026 as the Special Guest of honour and was given a platinum award for PUBLIC LEADERSHIP AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
At the event graced by the University management, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola and important dignitaries from all walks of life, outstanding graduants in Master’s degree and PhD were presented with certificates.
The highlight of the event was the award given to Senator Eshilokun in recognition of his steadfast contribution to good governance through people oriented policies and programmes that distinguished his career as a local government executive chairman, assembly member and now Senator of the Federal Republic.
According to the senator, attending the programme “was a thrilling experience as it afforded me the opportunity of relating with my Alma Mata and witnessing the graduation, with distinction, of some of Nigeria’s emerging policy makers and development agents”.
