It was another day of honour for Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun as participants for the 3 days Entrepreneurship training on Barbing, Photography and Confectionery, facilitated by him, in conjunction with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), concluded their training and got presented with certificates of participation, a sum of fifty thousand naira each and equipments for their vocations, on 13th November, 2024.
Also at the event, the caring Senator distributed Sewing machines, Grinding machines, Welding machines and Tricycles to Artisans and Market men and women, to support their self reliance and reduce poverty. While about sixty individuals benefitted from this empowerment, over a hundred were trained and empowered. The Senator also gave cash support to about a hundred leaders in the Senatorial district.
At the very well attended event, different political leaders took turn to extol the virtues of Senator Eshilokun as a focused and principled politician, who always seek to promote the well being of his people. Many of these leaders prayed that God continue to guide the Senator on the right part he has chosen.
In his speech, Senator Eshilokun said he is always glad to take care of the interest of his people, “it is my joy to always put smiles on the faces of my Constituents. And this is the reason I always strive to reach out and empower them with knowledge and tools to work with.” He also reeled out some of his achievements so far, to which his audience gleefully applauded.
At the end of speeches and commendations for the Senator, work tools were presented to the trainees, with a take off capital of fifty thousand naira cash handed over to each of them. After this, other beneficiaries were given various items ranging from Sewing machines to grinding machines, welding machines and Tricycles.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were Prince (Dr) Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi who led Lagos Central Apex leaders, which included Honourables Adenekan, Damazio, Oyemade, Daramola, Jawando and Kadiku, just to mention a few (about seventy in number) to the occasion. The State Executive Council was ably represented by Barrister Barakat Odunuga Bakare (S.A., Housing).
Honourables Rashidat Adu (Iru/Victoria Island), Funmilayo Mohammed (Apapa Iganmu), Muibi Folawiyo (Lagos Island East), John Campos (Eti Osa East) joined their colleague chairman, Bamidele Suleimon Yusuf (Surulere), who hosted the three days event. Some ex LGA Chairmen, including Dr Folami, Hon Ajide, Hon. Bamgbola (also former APC sribe and currently L.G Commissioner) and Hon. Kamaal Bashua also graced the occasion. APC Lagos Central woman leader was also present.
Party chairmen from across the 13 LGAs and LCDAs also came to honour him. It was indeed a day of honour and accolades for Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun.
