Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos Island have stepped up efforts to ensure the success of the ongoing party membership e-registration exercise, as part of broader strategies to strengthen the party ahead of future electoral engagements.

This was the focus of a high-level meeting convened on Wednesday, 21st January 2026, by the Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, who summoned party stalwarts across Lagos Island for strategic deliberations.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of the APC Membership e-Registration Drive, assess grassroots engagement, and identify practical approaches to deepen party penetration at the ward and community levels. Participants emphasized the importance of inclusive participation, effective mobilisation, and seamless coordination to ensure the registration process reaches every eligible member.

In his remarks, Senator Eshilokun underscored the need for unity, discipline, and renewed commitment among party leaders, noting that a strong and credible membership base remains critical to the party’s sustained success. He charged stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation to encourage widespread participation in the e-registration exercise.

The meeting also reaffirmed the collective support of Lagos Island APC leaders for the re-election bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging unwavering loyalty to the progressive ideals that have continued to shape Lagos State’s development trajectory.

At the end of the engagement, party leaders resolved to work collaboratively to ensure the success of the membership e-registration programme and to keep Lagos firmly on the progressive path.
